LET THE FLAG OF YOUR BELOVED TAJIKISTAN WAVE FOREWER!

Dear compatriots, After gaining state independence, the Republic of Tajikistan, for an independent state it was necessary to adopt the Law of the Flag, to be a symbol of freedom and independence of our beloved homeland.

Therefore, at the fateful sixteenth session of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Tajikistan the issue of adoption of the National Flag of Tajikistan was considered and adopted on November 24, 1992.

Approved in accordance with the Regulation on the National Flag of the Republic of Tajikistan, approved by the Resolution of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan of December 11, 1999.

The flag consists of three colors, in the middle of which there is a golden symbol of the crown and seven stars in the form of a semicircle above it.

The first color is red and symbolizes the struggle of the people for freedom and independence.  This color is synonymous with the national anthem of Tajikistan.

The color white is a symbol of happiness, hopes and dreams, and the color green is a symbol of greenery and prosperity, pride and joy and eternity.

On May 12, 2007, the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan «On State Symbols of the Republic of Tajikistan» was adopted and in one part of the law all issues related to the attitude to the State Flag of Tajikistan, raising and permanently raised places were outlined.

Another historical date, which took place on November 24, 2010 with the participation of the founder of peace and national unity, the Leader of the nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, respected Emomali Rahmon in the center of the capital, began the construction of the State Flag of Tajikistan and in the city of Dushanbe, the Great Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon laid the main stone and a capsule with a message to future generations in the foundation of the construction of the State Flag of Tajikistan. The height of the base of this flag is 165 meters, the height of the flag itself is 30 meters, the length of which is 60 meters.

On August 30, 2011, the Flag of Tajikistan was solemnly opened by the Great Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon.
